Dover Rod Run - April 28th, 2012
The Dover Rod Run is an antique car show that is scheduled three times during the year (January, April, and October). This event combines both outreach and fellowship opportunities for those attending. While our church hosts, staffs and organizes this event, most of those attending are from the community. This gives us an opportunity to provide an event that enables our community to be on our church campus, interact with our church family and learn about our church ministries in a relaxed and safe environment. Each one who attends is encouraged to register their attendance and indicate their interest in receiving more information about our church.
Volunteers involved in this event set up tents, grill food, serve in the food line, register vehicle participants, provide registration cards for those attending and work the clean up detail. The individuals organizing this event welcome those volunteering to help. Your voluntary involvement can be ongoing or periodic.

Trunk or Treat - October 31st, 2012
Trunk or Treat is an annual outreach event that is a Halloween alternative occurring on October 31st of each year. This is an opportunity for parents to bring their children to our church campus for a safe and fun experience. Volunteers from our church are asked to participate by bringing their vehicle to our church parking area, decorating it and providing candy and/or games for the children who come. This event has grown in popularity in our community and gives us opportunity to meet and interact with families in our area. Each person attending is asked to register their attendance and then given a ticket for a free hot dog, chips and soft drink. The registration information is evaluated and appropriate follow up begins with those families indicating interest in spiritual matters or learning more about our church ministries.
Volunteer recruitment is by a designated sign up list where you indicate your interest in providing a vehicle for this event. Several Sundays prior to the event an appeal for volunteer participants is made and you are asked to take the initiative in signing up on the participant list. Some volunteers, while not providing a vehicle, choose to donate bags of candy to supplement vehicle participants, assist in food preparation, serving, registering guests or being available to answer questions.
